Seasonal products usually interest many of Vínbúðin‘ customers and they are eagerly awaited. Now the sales period for summer products has started and will last until August 31. Almost 80 summer products are expected to be available in Vínbúðin stores this season, most of them are beer but a few other types of products can be found in the mix as well.

All Vínbúðin stores will be closed on the first day of summer, Thursday April 20th. Opening hours on Wednesday, April 19th, will be the same as on Fridays in most Vínbúðin stores.

Easter beer has arrived in Vínbúðin stores, with around 35 types on sale this year. Seasonal products are available for a limited time and Easter beer will be sold until April 8th.

This Friday, January 20th, marks the beginning of the traditional Icelandic season Þorri. During that time it is custom to get together and eat traditional food, such as meats pickled in sour whey. Usually it is enjoyed with Þorri beer or Brennivín.

You can find information regarding opening hours on this page but we encourage customers to pay attention to announcements in case of disruptions to opening hours due to weather or lack of transport. ÁTVR has made an arangement with Hríseyjarbúðin on the delivery of products from Vínbúðin's web shop. The goal is to improve service of customers in Hrísey, who can now access the entire range of products available at the Vínbúðin stores. It is Vínbúðin's hope that this service will be well received.
In the Web shop customers can browse the product selection, order products and have them sent to the Vínbúðin store of their choice - free of charge. If an order is placed before 2 PM, same day pick up is available at the warehouse in Stuðlaháls 2. In the product list the entire selection of products available at Vínbúðin at any given time can be viewed, and it is also simple to place a special order for the products that are not available on the Vínbúðin's shelves.

Gift cards are now available in all Vínbúðin stores and you can choose any amount. You can also buy the gift cards in the Web shop with fixed amounts: 5,000,, 10,000, 15,000 or 20,000 ISK .
