Our wine magazine, Vínblaðið, has been published four times a year since 2003. Now the last issue has been released. Customers will still be able to find informative articles and other educational material on our website.

Enhanced store in Akranes

Vínbúðin in Akranes was opened again February 17th after improvements, but the store was closed for three days during the process. The store is now in the new look as long as the working conditions has been improved as well.

Vínbúðin wins awards for customer satisfaction

Vínbúðin received the highest score of all companies in Íslenska ánægjuvogin (Icelandic Customer Satisfaction Committee), presented this morning. This is the third consecutive year that Vínbúðins‘s customers give it their highest rating. Vínbúðin received a score of 73.8. For comparison, the average of all companies in this survey was 63.0. The goal of Íslenska ánægjuvogin is to provide organizations with coordinated measurements of customer satisfaction, as well as factors that affect customer satisfaction such as image, quality accessment and customer loyalty. We are very proud of this accomplishment and thank our customers for their vote of confidence. We are determined to do even better in all areas, whether it be in service or social responsibility.

Easter beer

Easter seasonal beer is now available at Vínbúðin. There are 11 types of easter beer this year and they will be for sale until March 26th, or while supplies last.

Vínbúðin to recycle plastic

Vínbúðin and Oddi have teamed up in the recycling of used plastic from in the operation of Vínbúðin. The goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and reduce waste. Both companies recently signed a declaration on climate change, along with other local businesses, and this project fits well with the plan to reduce the environmental footprint.

Over 7 million isk to the Treasury

Regarding recent debate in the media ÁTVR wants to clarify few facts. Since ÁTVR was established it has been operating with profit. Usually the profit is paid directly to the Icelandic Treasury. Below you can see a table of annual profit over the last six years and the corresponding payments to the Treasury.

In the Capital area Vínbúðin is open on December 30 from 10 to 20 and 10-14 on New Year's Eve . All stores are closed on Friday, January 1, but open as usual on Saturday
