Vínbúðin in Dalvegur is now open again after renovations. Several changes has been made, but the Cooler was expanded and Other beers, cider and sodas is now in delimited space. Stock area in the back has also been expanded and all staff facilities has been improved.

Vínbúðin in Skeifan will be closed for renovation from Monday, January 14th and will open again in March.

Just under 22 million liters of alcohol were sold in Vínbúðin stores in 2018. This is a 0.54% increase since 2017 and the largest amount sold in one year so far.

Vínbúðin is open on New years eve in our biggest stores from 9 to 14. All stores are closed on January 1st. We open again January 2nd.

Dec. 30th. is usually one of the most busy days of the year. This year this day is on Sunday, so all our stores will be closed by law this day. Therefore, a large number of customers can be expected on Saturday, December 29, and Monday 31st of December.

Every year there is a lot of excitement for the Christmas beer to be available at Vínbúðin, which will be on Thursday, November 15th.
Here is a list of the selection of Christmas beer and other Christmas products expected to be available in Vínbúðin this year, but the list may change slightly.

In the product catalog here at vinbudin.is you can find all the products that are available for sale in Vínbúðin at any time. Most of the products are available in the Web Store, and now payment by debit card is also accepted.

It can be difficult to determine the correct amount of wine to buy for weddings, graduations, birthday parties and other events, and in those instances the event calculator can be very helpful. The calculations are based on our wine advisors‘ many years of experience, and are only to be used as a guideline. Many variants should be taken into account when assessing the correct amount to buy for your event; weather, timing, guest composition, lenght of time alchohol will be served for et cetera.
