Alcohol sales in 2019 were just below 22.7 million liters, which is a 3.1% increase in liters from 2018. Customers also increased by 2.4% in 2019, with a total of 5.1 million customers, compared to just under 5 million in 2018.

Updated: Some disruptions of Vínbúðin opening hours around the country will continue today. At the moment the stores are closed in Akureyri, Egilsstaðir, Húsavík, Reyðarfjörður, Fáskrúðsfjörður, Þórshöfn. All stores in the Capital area are open today.
