The Icelandic Meteorological Office has issued a yellow weather warning in the capital area, South Iceland and Faxaflói, with an orange weather warning from 17:00. 
People are strongly encouraged to stay home and not travel unless absolutely necessary.

In order to ensure that employees get home safely, it will not be possible to keep all Vínbúðin stores open.
The following stores will therefore close earlier than usual:
