This Friday, January 20th, marks the beginning of the traditional Icelandic season Þorri. During that time it is custom to get together and eat traditional food, such as meats pickled in sour whey. Usually it is enjoyed with Þorri beer or Brennivín. 

Icelandic breweries pride themselves in producing seasonal beer for this occation and the sale period for those started on January 12th and ends on February 18th. It is possible to see all the Þorri products available this year and the Vínbúðin stores each one can be found in.
