The results of the Public Organization of the Year 2017 survey were announced at a ceremony at the Hilton Nordica on May 10th. The public organizations of the year are three, but in addition, five exemplary organizations received recognition, among them Vínbúðin, which had the honour of being in fourth place this year.

The Public Organization of the Year survey is organized by Gallup and involves about 12,000 employees from the private and public sectors. The survey provides important information on the position of employees in the labour market, the purpose behind the project being to encourage managers to put focus on their human resources. Participants are asked questions about the following nine different aspects of their working environment: credibility of management, morale, wages, working conditions, job flexibility, independence at work, organizational image, happiness and pride, and gender equality.

We are pleased with this excellent achievement and are proud of the title Exemplary Public Organization 2017.
